A Gift
This is a picture of a red rose in my pool area. I planted the bush in honor of my dad. He just loved red roses. He told me they were the perfect flower to represent life. They are beautiful, elegant and lovely. They grow on a stiff branch and have thorns. Some of the thorns are a protection, some need to be clipped of with nippers so they don't hurt others. My dad died in October of 1996. I love the winter roses that remind me of him all all he added to my life--thorns and all! (You would have had to know my dad to understand about the thorns.)
