Yesterday, the dealership fixed the broken window regulator on my Kia. Good bye towel flapping in the wind and scaring the other drivers! Originally, we had tape holding the window up. The adhesive melted in the hot AZ sun and the window fell down. We did not have a drop of rain the two weeks my window was broken. I was watching the sky for clouds.
These are pictures of Mr Wonderful and Stephanie repairing her brakes. Before they did the brakes, they installed a cam shaft sensor. We are hoping that will cure her car problems for now. The cam shaft part breaking might have been a blessing, as Stephanie asked her dad about her brakes. They took them apart, and it appears new brake shoes were applied to rotors that were worn down more than they should have been, and reused. They replaced the rotors and brake pads on the front of the car. They were able to spend time together, and Stephanie learned some useful skills. The warranty that "covers 100% of the car repairs didn't cover any of these repairs at all. The cam shaft part was around $25 and the brakes cost around $150, but we are more confident in the reliability and safety of Steph's used car. Mr Wonderful repaired his brakes earlier in the week. Kristi's car is back from the dealer. As you can see, my car and Stephanie's are back on the road.
