Two weeks ago, Danielle was told that she need to put together a themed fashion and hair show using three models. She was to have a partner, and was given another girl, Renee, who also had to do three models and they had to do one combined model for a total of seven. They had to have one male model, and short, medium and long lengths of styled hair. They were then to put their fashion show on for all of the other employees of the various Dolce Salons and be judged by the directors of Dolce and also their peers. Truthfully, I didn't realize until I got there to see Danielle's show what a really big deal it was. There were two other teams. One had some kind of tropical theme and the other did the Price is Right. Danielle's was by far the most creative and fun to watch.
The backdrop Danielle designed and colored with the help of her partner, Renee, sisters, Stephanie and Breezy is above. It is really cute. They had little two foot game pieces. I didn't end up with a good picture of them.
This is a picture of Kristi, Danielle's medium length (hair) model as Princess Lollipop. She might kill me when she sees this particular picture....as she is sporting just one of her way long multicolored and bejeweled fake eye lashes. The show ran later than planned, and Kristi had to run to the car dealership to drop her car off dressed this way! I had the props in my car and had to drop Stephanie off at home before I had room to pick Kristi up....She was out front waiting for me....none too comfortable. Maybe she should have grabbed a few balloons and sold a car or two while waiting for me!
This is Danielle and the little gal playing the part of the Candy Land Kid.
These are all of the models. Renee's sister is Queen Frostina on the left, then The Candy Land Kid, Ms Mint, Kristi as Princess Lollipop, Danielle, Renee, King Candy and the villainous Lord Licorice. Deidre as Grandma Nut is kneeling in front. She had a walker, and shuffled along pelting candy at the crowd. She brought tears to my eyes she was so funny. That dress she is wearing was my sister's bridesmaid dress she wore at my wedding 33 years ago--vintage. The crowd loved it.
This is the group actually doing their fashion/hair show in front of all of the Dolce people. Danielle is telling them what products she used, colors, and what type of cuts she gave her models. She did a very nice job and was complimented on her public speaking. She told me she loved doing her show--would love to do another one sometime, BUT wants more notice so she gets more than 4 hours of sleep planning and putting her show together. She hears tomorrow whether or not she passed, as it is straight pass or fail. We are hoping she moves on to a level II employee at Dolce.

That looks like it was a super fun night. Good job Danielle
